Chainsaw Operation Certificate (Non-Logging)
This 2-day hands-on course teaches safe and efficient chainsaw use for non-logging applications. Participants learn how to inspect, sharpen, maintain, and operate a chainsaw, as well as basic felling and limbing techniques under various conditions. The training also covers hazard recognition and safe handling practices.

Certification:
Successful participants receive a Non-Loggers Chainsaw Certificate. A professional certificate is available at an additional cost - contact us for details before the course begins.
Requirements:
Day 1 (Classroom): Bring a working chainsaw and maintenance tools (wrenches, shop towels, toothbrushes, screwdrivers, files, gauges, chains etc.).
Day 2 (Field Practice): You must be wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment listed below:
- CSA-approved chainsaw hard hat with face shield and ear protection or CSA-approved hard hat, ear protection, and safety glasses with side shields
- Chainsaw pants/chaps
- CSA-approved protective footwear
- High-visibility clothing item
- Chainsaw or light weight leather gloves (optional)
